Leading the shearling rams at this price was Loosebeare Hardcore from the Quick family, Credition, Devon. By Brijon Deal Breaker and out of a dam by Hexel Diamond Joe, it had stood second in the pre-sale show and was bought by Matthew Seed for the Auchry flock, Turiff, with a half share retained by the vendors.

Next at 18,000gns from the Chave family's Peacehay flock, Somerset, was Peacehay High Expectations, a son of Clarks Wizard out of a dam by Peacehay Untouchable. It sold to Esmore Evans for the Maerdy flock, Mold.
Making 8,000gns was Whitehart Hot To Handle from Jim and Nicky Hartwright, Worcestershire. By Castlecairn Googlebug and out of a dam by Brijon Deal Breaker, it was knocked down to Pilkington Farms, Buxton.
Then came a 7,500gns call for Corras Hugo from Robert and Nesta Watkins and family, Hereford. This son of Corras Fearsome out of a dam by Clun Captain, sold with a top 10% texelplus index to Robin Creighton, Chelmsford, for his Endway flock, with the Watkins retaining an equal share.
Topping the ram lambs at 20,000gns for Robert Cockburn, Crieff, was Knap Impact, a son of 听22,000gns Duncryne Hakuna Matata and out of Knap Daisy Duke which had been part of the first prize group of three in the pre-sale show.
It sold in a two-way split to Peter and James Vaughan, Kingspark and Jim and Nicky Hartwright, Whitehart.
Next in the lambs at 5,500gns was Auldhouseburn Istabraq from Alan Blackwood, Muirkirk. By 12,000gns Okehall Hot Shot and out of a Sportsmans-bred dam by 160,000gns Rhaeadr First Choice, it went to James Amphlett, Brecon.

From the same home, Auldhouseburn Ivan Attitude by Okehall Hammerhead out of a Scholars Governor-sired dam sold for 5,000gns to Charlie Fielder, Test Valley and Keith Darling, Kingstead.
Females
Topping the gimmer trade at 9,000gns from the MacGregor family's Allanfauld flock, Glasgow, was a Sportsman Grand Slam daughter out of a Cowal-bred dam by Hexel Django, which had been female champion in the pre-sale show. It sold to Jim Innes for the Strathbogie flock, Huntly.
Next at 4,000gns from Mike Turner's Okehall flock, Derbyshire, was a Holtridge Golden Arrow daughter out of a dam by Haymount Earth Wind and Fire. It was knocked down to Eamonn Vaughan for the Partridge Nest flock, Derbyshire.
Then making 3,200gns was another from the Allanfauld pen which was a full sister to the sale topper was bought by J. H. and J. Ryder, Seaville, Cumbria.
At the same money was a Loosebeare Fantastic daughter from the Watkins' family' which sold to Llion Jones for the Pant flock, North Wales.
Averages - 66 shearlings, 拢3,068 (84% clearance); 98 ram lambs, 拢1,450.82 ; 48 gimmers, 拢1,401.09 (87% clearance).
