Calling all farming innovators – the 2027 LAMMA Innovation Awards are now open for entries

The UK’s premier agricultural event, LAMMA, is once again opening its Innovation Awards for entries to recognise and reward innovation and advances within the agricultural industry

The UK's premier agricultural event, LAMMA, is once again opening its Innovation Awards for entries. The LAMMA Innovation Awards, sponsored by Rural Asset Finance, were created to recognise and reward innovation and advances within the agricultural industry.

Who can enter

The awards, available for LAMMA, Low Carbon Agriculture and CropTec exhibitors to enter, celebrate new technologies and provide exposure for agricultural manufacturers through eight categories including a new edition for 2027, the Future Fuel Innovation Award. In addition to this, the Innovation of the Year award will be presented to the best overall winner at the 2027 show.Ìý

For the first time, the LAMMA Innovation Award entrants will have an opportunity to demonstrate their innovations on centre stage during the show in the Innovation Live zone, this gives entrants access to over 40,000 visitors, looking to find groundbreaking technology powering the future of farming.ÌýÌý

How to enter

The awards can be entered via the LAMMA, Low Carbon Agriculture and CropTec exhibitor hub and entries close on October 9, 2026.

2027 Innovation Awards categories

*NEW for 2027* Future Fuel InnovationÌý

Agriculture and technology is evolving, we want to highlight the future fuel and drivetrains that are pushing agriculture into the future.Ìý

Can include hybrid systems, hydrogen, biomethane, battery electric, fuel cells, E-Fuels and renewable fuels. The product or process must be able to demonstrate its significant benefit to the environment.Ìý

Livestock & Dairy Innovation of the YearÌý

This award celebrates a piece of livestock kit, machinery or technology that provides advancement or innovation inside the Livestock/Dairy sector.Ìý

Includes: Livestock/Cattle feeding and handling equipment, dairy machinery and technology, milking equipment, mixing equipment & fencing equipment.Ìý

Grassland Innovation of the YearÌý

This award highlights a piece of grassland kit, machinery or technology that provides advancement or innovation inside the grassland/forage sector.Ìý

Includes: Field machinery, including mowers, tedders, rakes, balers, wrappers, bale handling or any machinery or technology that is specific to the life cycle of grass production.Ìý

Digital Technology Innovation of the YearÌý

This award showcases a product or service that uses digital technology and equipment to provide a service to farmers. It must fulfil a genuine business need of farmers and growers.Ìý

Includes: Apps, electronics & precision farming software.Ìý

Arable Establishment Innovation of the YearÌý

This award celebrates a piece of arable machinery or technology that provides advancement or innovation to the establishment of any arable crop.Ìý

Arable Crop Care Innovation of the YearÌý

This award highlights a piece of arable kit, machinery, chemical or technology that provides advancement or innovation to the care of arable crops, at any point during their production lifecycle.Ìý

Machine of the YearÌý

This award celebrates innovation within agricultural manufacturing. The machine can be made anywhere in the world, but it must be sold the UK & Ireland, and released after 1st February 2026, and must not have been shown at LAMMA before, even as a prototype.ÌýÌý

Includes: tractors, materials handling, harvesters and self-propelled sprayers/applicatorsÌý

British and Irish Manufacturer of the YearÌý

This award champions the commitment to innovation by a British or Irish manufacturer. The manufacturer must have shown consistent innovation and progression in the fields of new product development, sales growth, business sustainability.Ìý

The manufacturer must be based within UK and IE; physical production has to take place within the UK and Ireland.Ìý

The IAgrE Ivel Award - Innovation of the YearÌý

The Innovation of the Year will be awarded to the best Gold-winning innovation from across all LAMMA Innovation Award categories; no application is required, as the winner will be selected from the Gold Award winners in the other eight categories.Ìý
