One of the event organisers, Ted Troughton, said: "We all met in agricultural college and have kept in touch ever since. This year, we thought we would do something different and organise a charity rugby match to help members of the farming community.

"Farming can often be isolating, so social events like the rugby match are a good way for us to catch up over a beer. It is also great to see so many members of the community come together and cheer us all on from the sidelines."
