Asda pushes Gov to pause and consult on IHT changes

Standing in solidarity with farmers, the British supermarket chain has urged the Government to rethink making changes to Inheritance Tax

A spokesperson for Asda said: "We have been engaging with farmers and listening carefully to their concerns, particularly around IHT. Whilst the Government's recent amendment to thresholds has removed the risk for many farm businesses, our overall position has not changed - we support a full pausing of the implementation of APR to allow for an in-depth consultation on the issue and its impacts."
