A number of hay bales have been damaged at a Staffordshire farm, leaving the farmer struggling with limited feed ahead of winter.Ìý

East Staffordshire Police have confirmed at least six bales were slashed by offenders on September 3 at a farm in Marchington Woodlands.Ìý

Sheep hurdles had also been stolen during the incident.

Officers from Uttoxeter's Neighbourhood Policing Team said the majority of hay bales had been stacked ahead of winter, with the result of the damage in the 'hundreds of pounds' mark'.

As a result of the damage, the farmer said they now have limited resources for winter feeding.Ìý
