Anside Typhoon from the Irvine family, Drummuir, which sold for a top price of 17,000gns.
The Limousin Society's CEO, Alice Swift, said the strong figures were reflective of the current commercial trade, with confidence in the beef market resulting in solid and consistent trade.
The first bull to take the highest bid, was May 2022-born Anside Typhoon, from the Irvine family, Drummuir. By Anside Prometheus which first sons sold to 14,000gns in October last year, the bull is a heifer's calf out of Anside Peony. It was knocked down to John Penny and Son, Peterhead.
Dyke Toyboy from Donald MacGregor, Milton of Campsie, was the second at this money. By the 12,000gns Goldies Lordoftherings, which was the 2017 Stirling February champion, the bull is full brother to the 9,500gns Dyke Prodigy. It sold to Clark Farms, Sheffield.

Making 16,000gns was another from the MacGregor consignment, the overall reserve champion, Dyke Topman. Also by Lordoftherings, this time out of Dyke Nicola, it sold to Hartside Farms, Biggar.
Next at 10,000gns was Newhouse Tummel, from the Adam family, Forfar. By Newhouse Overfinlarg and out of Newhouse Lyn, it sold to Andrew and Gordon Beattie, Forfar.
Andrew Burnett of the Spittalton herd, Stirling, was next in the bidding at 9,000gns for the March 2022-born Spittalton Trigger. By the 40,000gns Ampertaine Opportunity, which the Burnett family bought in a shared partnership with the Newhouse and Goldie herds, it was knocked down to I.A. Mackinnon, Isle of Tiree.

The overall champion, Elrick Trooper, a Whinfell Park Nobu son from Mike and Lisa Massie, Ellon, also secured a bid of 9,000gns. Marking their third consecutive overall championship win at the Stirling February sales, the bull sold to W.S.L. Muir, Stromness, Orkney.

Making 8,500gns was another from the MacGregor consignment, Dyke Trojan, a May 2022-born Whinfellpark Ohagan son. It sold to E.J. Wilson and Co, Forfar.
Six more bulls made 8,000gns. First was Spittalton Tyson, a Dyke Papa son and out of Spittalton Emma, it sold to J. King, Glasgow.
Next from Donald MacGregor was Dyke Tyrant, which sold to Renwick Bros, Dumfries.
The third was Corsairtly Tam, from Richard and Kathleen Davidson, Keith, which sold to K. Taylor and Sons, Killin.
Next was the reserve intermediate champion, Anside Tank from the Irvine family. By Milbrook Playboy, maternal sister to the 250,000gns Wilodge Poshspice, it sold to C.S. Fleming and Son, Forfar.
Also at 8,000gns was Maraiscote Tufty from Ian Nimmo, Newmains, which sold to G.T.and S. Coghill, Orkney.
The sixth was Glamis Topgun from Andrew and James Adam, Glamis, which sold to A.J. Maclean, Isle of Tiree.

Herefords sell to 4,000gns high
Hereford bulls met a 4,000gns high to average 拢3,938 for the two bulls sold. Sale leader was Fellowhills 1 Watt, a March 2023-born bull from J. Hodge, Berwick-on-Tweed. A Fellowhills 1 Talisman son, it sold to R. Parker, Ervie.
Making 3,500gns was Criffel 1 Warrior from Ewan Burgess, Dumfries. Out of Criffel 1 Souvenir and the first son by the 2022 Stirling champion, Criffel 1 Thor, it sold to Klondyke Farms, Thornhill.
Lincoln Red bulls sold to 4,000gns for St. Fort Bailiff from A. Mylius and Partners, Newport on Tay, the only bull forward. It was knocked down to Hamilton Organic, Dunbar.
