A farm in Surrey has been left ‘disgusted' after a farm fire destroyed its barn and supply of winter feed.

An eye witness told the Farmers Guardian two people had reportedly been seen running out of the barn before jumping into a car at around 6pm.

The farm described the difficulty of going through the incident after putting the effort and hard work into preparing for winter.

The farm said the fire had 'wasted' the effort and resources of emergency service personnel (Manor Farm)

"It wastes the valuable services and resources of the fire service and police.

"Our team have worked hard throughout the year, growing crops which produce all manner of food and ingredients for people to eat, plus the by-product of straw which can be used as bedding or food for livestock.

"If anyone has any details or dash cam footage of anything that may be helpful please do let us know."

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service along with Surrey Police were approached for further comment.
